In Memoriam: Octavia Williams

    Octavia Myers Williams, 79, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Central, LA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben R. Williams. She is survived by her three sons and spouses, Allen and Sue Williams, Andy and Judy Williams, and Tim and Karen Williams; five grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Weston Harvey, Kristi and Brady Fontenot, Amy and Jason Jacobs, Margaret Williams, and Reed Williams; nine great-grandchildren, Bailey and Rylee Harvey, Jude, Kaleb, Sadie and Elijah Fontenot, and Levi, Aubin, and Josiah Jacobs. She is also survived by four sisters, Jean Stovall, Katherine (Bob) Leonard, Betty Waters, and Sybil (Jim) Harlow. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and a member and Past Worthy Matron of Central Star #23 OES.
    Visitation was at Zoar Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from noon until service at 2:00 PM conducted by Dr. Kevin Hand. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
