            During the month of December 2013 in the city of Central, a total of 15 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $3,553,440.  This brings the total number of new residential permits issued in 2013 to 179 with a total valuation of $39,411,454.  Residential permits for the previous three years were 138 new permits in 2010, 136 new permits in 2011, and 144 new permits in 2012.

            Within these December permits, three were issued in Woodstock with an average valuation of $194,582; one in Burlington Lakes valued at of $171,740; one in Gates at Burlington valued at $132,186; three in Twin Lakes Estates with an average valuation of $203,610; two on Hubbs Rd with an average valuation of $161,576; four in Village at Magnolia Square with an average valuation of $362,745; and one on Lovett Rd valued at $280,804.

            Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.
