In Memoriam: Johnnie Hunt Onstead

    Johnnie Hunt Onstead passed away at 6:30 AM, Wednesday December 25, 2013 in Central at the age of 87. She was a resident of Central.

    Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Central on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park.

    Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Daryl Landry; 3 grandchildren, Kelly Beck, Cody and Cory Carline; 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Brogan, Rylan and Baisley.

    Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Paul Onstead; parents, Herbert and Hattie Hunt; sister, Delores Dee Hunt; Special longtime friend, Marcelle Tarver Brian.

    She was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church in Central. She was also involved with the Sew and Sew Club. Memorial donations may be made to Canon Hospice or to the American Heart Association. She was a great seamstress, a good artist, and she loved working with her flowers.
