In Memoriam: Lester Allen Tassin

Lester Allen Tassin

Born on February 3, 1942, Resident of Baton Rouge, peacefully entered heavens gates at 2:30 PM on November 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Lester was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School. He then married the love of his life, his wife of 52 years, Barbara. He joined the Navy and he is a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He leaves behind a legacy that will forever be honored. Lester was a man who valued his family and strongly believed in being honest, hardworking and just an all around good man. He also had a passion for classic cars. He was the past-president of the BR Corvette Club and the Cajun Classic Chevy Club. He was also a member of the LA chapter N.C.R.S, BR Mustang Club,  St. Alphonsus Men’s club and the K.C. 2807 St. Alphonsus. He was preceeded in death by his Father, Leon and his Mother, Letsie and step-brother Leon Jr. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories include his wife Barbara and sons Mike and his wife Angie of B.R. and Darren and his wife Denise of BR. Grandchildren, Chase and Kaylee Tassin, and Darian Legier. Great Grandson Branden Clay Jr. and his special grand dog Precious. Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 at Seale Funeral home in Central from 5-9 P.M. Rosary at 6:30 P.M. Visitation on Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Greenwell Springs Rd. from 9:30-11 A.M. Services to follow. Grave site services at Resthaven Garden of Memories. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Services of BR and St. Joseph Hospice. A special thank you so Dr. Jay Brooks and his staff and the staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
