It all began with one man’s dream many years ago. He saw a need in our community for a youth football team. He spent endless hours and poured his heart and soul into this endeavor.  With the neverending support and encouragement of his family, Mrs. "Kat", Shane, Robie and Carla, many friends, and the Central Community, "Coach Gene" Robillard founded The Central Bobcats in 1976. He saw these boys as an extension of his own family. He taught them so much more than the fundamentals of the game. He taught them the importance of family, friendship, compassion, and how to find fun and a lesson in all that they did. He taught true sportsmanship. He touched the hearts of so many with his dedication to being a role model and mentor.
Early in 2013 the word was spreading that the Central Bobcats would soon be reorganized. Through the hard work and devotion of many coaches, players and families this was achieved and The Bobcats are back!
In honor of Coach Gene on Saturday, October 26th, a beautiful memorial was given.  The boys of this great organization patiently waited to proudly take to the field of the Central Football Stadium in the original black and orange of the Central Bobcats. Leading the team was his grandson and best buddy, Daniel Gene Robillard.
We would like to extend a special "thank you" to all who attended this momentous occasion.
But most importantly… Thank you Coach Gene! This one's for you!
