Two New P&Z Members Selected

By  |
William Matlock and Bijan Sharafkhani will begin immediately serving four year terms as the two newest members of Central's Planning and Zoning Commission, or "P&Z".  The City Council Tuesday night selected these two citizens from a pool of eight applicants for the unpaid appointed positions.
The vacancies were a result of two of Central's P&Z members serving out their full terms, which expired in August.  The exiting members are Rodney Bonvillain and Wade Giles, who served as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Commission.
The P&Z is a group of seven citizens appointed by the City Council to review and make recommendations to the Council on zoning matters and to make final determinations on all planning matters that do not require rezoning, such as minor subdivisions of property.
