It took an EBR Parish jury less than 45 minutes to find James “Trey” Watts III of Denham Springs guilty of vehicular homicide in the death of Central’s Phillip Abington.  Watts was taken into custody and faces a prison sentence of 5 to 30 years.  On September 9, 2011, Watts was legally intoxicated and estimated to be traveling approximately 90 MPH down Greenwell Springs Road in Central when his 2005 Silverado struck Abington’s 2001 Honda at Will Avenue.
