Thank You! Boat Stolen and Found

By  |

Our heartfelt thanks go out to East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Department Central Substation, and to Captain Bobby Dale Calendar, Captain Jason Demoulin, BRPD Officer Randy Scrantz, and to all our friends and anonymous callers with information that led to the recovery of our bass boat which was stolen from our home on December 3rd.   When we told our friend, Captain Demoulin, of our situation, he advised that we create a sign, and place it in our yard making people aware of the incident.  The sign read “Did you see anyone steal our boat today?”

We received several calls that provided valuable information and assisted law enforcement with the investigation.  Our community members came together to help find the individual who had decided that he would invade our home and take what was not his rather than allow this crime to go unsolved.   All worked tirelessly, and were very instrumental in reclaiming our property on the morning of December 6th.

It is both comforting and reassuring to know that officers of such quality are taking pride and doing their utmost to uphold law & order in our community.

We found out that it was a 42 year old male who had been arrested 31 times and was on parole and living in the Central area.

God bless all of you.  We are truly thankful for the professional help, kindness, and caring of the officers in the recovery of our boat.

Job well done!
