September Permits Review

    During the month of September 2012 in the city of Central, a total of 9 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $1,881,838. 

    Within these permits, one was issued in The Gates at Burlington with a valuation of $130,986; three in Village Lakes with an average valuation of $214,086; two in Woodstock with an average valuation of  $215,018; one in Village at Magnolia Square valued at $264,616; one on Hwy 64 valued at $209,890; and one in Wisteria Lakes valued at $204,052.  A total of 109 new residential home permits have been issued so far this year. 

    Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.

            Commercial permits were applied for the following businesses:

            1)  American Contractors International, Inc., 14826 Hooper Rd, 4565 sq. ft. remodel of day-care center

            2)  Rabalais Homes LLC, 13438 Magnolia Square, 12,999 sq. ft new commercial structure

            3)  AA Mini Storage, 12919 Hooper Rd, 6,000 sq ft new commercial structure.
