CPS Students Place in District Literary Rally

    On Saturday, March 24, 44 students from Central Private School participated in the District Literary Rally at Southeastern Louisiana University.  Of those students, 41 placed in the top ten in their subjects.  Sixteen were in the top three, and 11 of those qualified to go to the State Rally at LSU in April.  
    Eight students took 1st place:  Victoria Lewis – Art Exhibit,Category 2; Katie Geren – Biology II;  Jill King – Calculus; Marcus Sandifer – Civics; Morgan Miley – Free Enterprise; Katherine Nijoka – Journalism I; Lance Wicker – Spelling; and Trey Kolb – World Geography.  In three subjects, CPS students took both 1st and 2nd place, with Chris Orr placing 2nd in Civics; Brennan West placing 2nd in Free Enterprise; and Matt Myers placing 2nd in Spelling.
