Central’s week started with a 12-2 loss to #1 Catholic. The Wildcats were led by Corey Davis (1-3) and Dylon Buhler’s 2 RBI day. After Central’s two-run first, Catholic scored twelve straight runs to put the Wildcats away. Mason Crawford started the game and was relieved by Kelby Blalock and John Fralick.

Saturday, Central lost 17-9 to Denham Springs. The Wildcats nine runs were scored by Corey Davis (3-5, 3 RBI’s), Jacob Lesage (2-4, 2 RBI’s), and Micah Jones (2-4, 2 RBI’s). Dylon Buhler pitched well. In 3 1/3 innings, he gave up 13 runs but only 1 of them was earned. Central’s 7 errors ultimately led to their defeat.

The Wildcats lost their third game Tuesday against Zachary 9-5. Central jumped to a 2-1 lead with Layton Laird and Jacob Lesage RBI hits. Unfortunately, the Wildcats could not hold down the hot-hitting Zachary Broncos. Central put up three more in the bottom of the sixth on RBI’s by Corey Davis, Layton Laird, and Chet Myer.

The Wildcats are now 18-11, 5-5 in District 5-5A. They play Thursday at home (4 p.m.) against Walker for Senior Day. Then, Central will head down to New Orleans Saturday to play Jesuit.
