Lady Wildcats Advance to State Quarterfinals

The lady wildcat volleyball team beat live oak in 4 sets to reach the division 2 state quarterfinals.  The wildcats jumped out on live oak and won the first set 25-23. Live oak responded to win the second set 14-25.  Central then shut the door with wins of 25-14 and 25-22 to win the match. Taylor Padgett led the team with 13 kills and 15 digs.  Dylan Wilson added 11 kills, 7 digs and 3 aces.  Middle blocker Brisha Coffee hammered out 8 kills and 3 blocks while Allison LeBlanc added 5 kills and 2 blocks.  Setter Chelsea David dished out 12 assists, Tori Mayo and Zhane Williams added 8 assist and Tremelia Kelly added 5 assist.  Libero Rachel Barber had 10 digs for the Wildcat defense and Meagan Alexander added 8 points off serve.  The Wildcats will play Thursday at 11:45 at the Pontchartrain Center against St. Thomas More.
