Sometimes, like in the movie "Rudy" or "Rocky" the outnumbered, undersized, athlete can put together a tough performance and overcome the odds and be victorious.  Friday night was not the case in Amite, LA as the CPS Rebels ran into an immensely talented bunch of Yellow Jackets from Oak Forest.  Oak Forest came out with a stout will and steadfast determination as they defeated the Rebels by the final score of 42-0.

The Yellow Jackets who rushed for 332 yards on the evening were led by Alex Rimes who toted the ball 13 times for 103 yards and a touchdown.  Most of the damage coming in the first half.  A total of 9 different Yellow Jackets carried the ball for OFA.  Ryan Riggins scored the second Jacket touchdown on the night on a 28 yard run before Chris Gill hit Parker Morgan on a 34 yard touchdown pass for a 19-0 OFA  lead.  Gill would then trot 40 yards into the endzone right before half to up the lead to 24-0.

Central Private was able to intercept a Gill pass as Jonathon Moak got his second pick in two games. The second half of the game started with the Yellow Jackets recovering a lateral in the end zone for another score.  Drew Misita recovered for OFA.  Another big play put six more on the board for the Jackets as Josh Hughes dashed 26 yards into the endzone and a 39-0 lead.  Omeara Natale finished the scoring for OFA with a 34-yard field goal.

A long night finally came to an end for CPS but the Rebels return to action in a big district contest against arch-rival Silliman Institute on Friday night at 7:00
