St. Alphonsus Offering Four New Bible Studies

By  |

From the St. Alphonsus weekly newsletter

“Matthew: The King and His Kingdom”

“Matthew: The King and His Kingdom” is a Catholic Bible study that presents the Gospel account in a way

that brings the history of Christ to life. Witness for yourself how Jesus fulfills the promise and prophecies of

the Old Testament. Experience how Christ demonstrates His authority and Divinity through his miraculous

ministry. And recognize the power and importance of the Church, the Mass, and the Sacraments established

by Christ.

Study Begins Thursday September 9, 2010

St. Francis (A/B)……6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

“The Bible Timeline”

“The Bible Timeline” makes reading the Bible not only easy, but exciting. In this study you will learn the

major people, places, events and themes of the Bible—getting the ‘big picture’ of salvation history. Perhaps

for the first time in your life, you will understand the overview of the Bible story. This then makes your Bible

reading and even the Sunday Mass readings come alive like never before.

Study Begins Wednesday October 6, 2010

St. Francis (A/B)……11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“The Acts of the Apostles”

“The Acts of the Apostles” is more than a history of the First Christians. It is an incredible story of the power

of the Holy Spirit. After the Ascension of Christ, the Apostles appeared worried and confused. They had

spent three years in the presence of our Savior and our God, and now He had returned to His Father. But he

did not leave them alone. Christ sent the Apostles the Holy Spirit to guide, instruct, and empower them.

time to question and enter into dialogue with one another about your faith and how to put it into action.

Study Begins Tuesday September 14, 2010
