CHS Students Win Scholarships

Please be sure to watch this week’s Metro Council meeting on Cox 21.  It can be viewed in reruns over the weekend.  Three Central High Students (Casey Brown, Samuel Ayers, and Garrett Hull) were recognized at the beginning of the meeting. They submitted applications to the local chapter of the American Public Works Assn for a chance at a $1,000 scholarship for college.  There were only 5 students selected parish wide, and all three of these Central students were chosen and awarded the scholarships.
 
Thanks also to the Guidance Dept at Central High, especially Lori Devall, for helping get the information to them.   A couple of hours of filling out the paperwork and writing an essay paid off for them.
