Mobile Home Fire Monday

On May 10, 2010 at 1429 hours CFD was dispatched to 11513 Core Ln. for a mobile home fire.  Upon arrival at 1432 hours, CFD observed a fully engulfed mobile home.  The mobile home was in close proximity to a residence located on the same property.  
 
CFD initiated a defensive attack on the fire extinguishing the mobile home and preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby residence.
 
CFD utilized two engines, one tanker, one heavy rescue truck and 15 firefighters.
 
Resident, who lives on on the same property stated he was burning trash approximately 20 feet from the mobile home. He left the fire unattended and walked to his near by residence.  A short time later he noticed the unoccupied mobile home, which was used to store, restored antiques, on fire.  Damage to the mobile home and contents was between $7000.00 to $10,000.00.
