Hooper Road Extension Study

As you are aware, the city of Central received an appropriation from the state in the amount of $23,058 for a feasibility and traffic study for the Hooper Rd extension to Livingston Parish. Livingston Parish received an equal appropriation, and DOTD received $50,000. We are all pooling our funds together to allow DOTD to handle this matter for everyone.
Consultant services have been requested, and I expect the study to be advertised by the first of June. It will be posted on DOTD’s website and the advertisement gives consultants about 2 weeks to submit. After the posting closes, it is expected it to take about two weeks to start the consultant evaluation process and about 6 weeks more to select a consultant.
