Savannah McNair Blood Drive Successful

A blood drive was held on January 24 to help Savannah McNair, a young girl with a rare type of epilepsy. Savannah has seen many doctors who cannot find the cause of her illness. She has been treated at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and, to help with hospital bills, a blood drive was organized. For every pint of blood donated, the hospital deducted $15 from Savannah’s medical bills. 100 pints of blood were donated at the blood drive, meaning that not only was $1500 raised to help Savannah’s family with her bills, but also many people were given the gift of life through those blood donations. Thank you to everyone who came to help.
