CHS Football Improves to 7-1 in Win Over Walker

By  |

football6Special teams and defense accounted for four of Central’s nine first half touchdowns as the Wildcats dominated Walker in the first half 62-6.  Central’s second half was wisely used to give playing time to many of next year’s likely starters, who held Walker to a single field goal in the second half for a 62-9 final score.

Josh Veals led Central’s special teams with two first quarter punts retirned for touchdowns of 26 and 48 yards in a span of less than three minutes on the clock.  Central had a strong but balanced offensive showing led by Price and Cutno on the ground and Briscoe, Davis and Cutno receiving.  Will Briscoe went 17 for 21 for 235 yards.  Chet Myer, Sean Brown and Zach Hetrick combined for 8 tackles, 3 assists and 2 tackles for a loss.
