School Facilities Steering Committee Takes Next Steps

By  |

On Thursday, 1/15, the Facilities Steering Committee met and heard two presentations.  First Wade Giles, a committee member and Central resident, gave a presentation to help better inform the committee and the community on the issue of sales tax revenues.  The powerpoint presentation can be seen by following this link:  TAX REVENUES  Wade is to be congratulated for his efforts to help the Central community make an informed decision.

The second presentation was from PBK, a Texas engineering group specializing in facilities consulting and planning for school systems.  There was much discussion, especially surrounding the need to inform the voters of Central and to receive their input in the process.

Several tours of the existing school buildings are being scheduled, the frst of which was held on Saturday, 1/17.

Finally, the next Steering Committee meeting was scheduled for Monday, 1/19 at 6:30 PM at Trinity Driving School next door to the School Board offices.  Follow this link to see the agenda for the meeting:  AGENDA
