Bellingrath Hills Students are taking part in the National Mock Election

By  |
This month we are talking about voting for president. In the Computer Lab, students will be taking part in a mock election that is sponsored by the Secretary of State. They will be able to vote for the candidate of their choice. It will be done by secret ballot on the computer before Oct. 30. On October 30, we will receive the final result for our school, and also for the other elementary schools around the country. It will be posted on the website as soon as we get the results.
Please discuss the candidates with your children. As teachers, we are not campaigning for a certain candidate. We are more concerned with teaching your child about the voting process and good citizenship. Please inform your child about both candidates and who you feel would be the best president and why. Thank you for your assistance in this manner and we are very excited about this process. For more information on the National Mock Election, visit
