Youth Football Kicks Off This Month

The Southern Louisiana Youth Football Association or SLYFA, begins its 2008 season on August 30th with a jamboree at the Live Oak and Walker High School football stadiums. Central has had a team in SLYFA for a number of years and the youth league has acted as a feeder system for the Central Middle and Central High football teams, helping young athletes learn the game and acquire the skills needed to compete at the next level. The regular season begins on September 6th and Wildcat Stadium is the home field for the Central team.
