By  |

Clerk of Court Doug Welborn has announced that his office staff will be on hand to qualify candidates from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 10, at the City of Central City Hall at 9339 Sullivan Road. The Central location will afford local candidates the opportunity to qualify for the seven Central Community School Board seats; though qualifying for all seats in East Baton Rouge Parish will be available.

“We are happy to be able to accommodate the candidates by offering qualifying in Central for half a day,” Welborn said. “Though qualifying will be held Wednesday through Friday, this will give the local candidates the convenience that has been beneficial in the past in our parish’s northern cities.”

Qualifying for East Baton Rouge Parish will be held from Wednesday, July 9, through Friday, July 11, lasting from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Governmental Building and Coursey Boulevard offices. In addition to the seven Central Community School Board seats, candidates will be qualifying for Mayor-President; all Metro Council seats; District Attorney, 19th Judicial District; all Judges, 19th Judicial District; Family Court Judges; Juvenile Court Judges; Baker City Court Judge; all Ward Constables and Justices of the Peace; Member of EBRP School Board, District 6; and Member of Zachary Community School Board, District 7.
