Prior to his junior high school year at LSU's Lab School, Gregory Flitter, Jr. chose to enroll in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.   The IB Diploma Program is a challenging two-year curriculum, with a balanced program of education to prepare students for success at university life and beyond.  The curriculum is designed to develop critical thinking, independent learning and research skills.  This Program has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities.
Though he could have chosen to simply take a few of the courses offered, he wanted to attempt to graduate with a full diploma from the Program.   Even though fully enrolled as a student in the IB Diploma Program, Gregory was able to continue to participate in sports for the U High Cubs.   During his 11th grade year as an offensive lineman, Gregory was recognized as 2nd Team All District Offensive Tackle.   IB is a rigorous program, and Gregory was the only participant in his class at U High who also played football.  Gregory graduated from U High in May, and was notified recently that he had also graduated with a diploma in the IB program.   This is a great honor for which he worked very hard to accomplish.

As a resident of Central, Gregory previously attended Central Christian Academy and Victory Academy.  His father, Greg Flitter, is a Civil Engineer/Project Manager at Albemarle Corporation, and his mother, Jacque Flitter, is Quality Control Manager for Moreau Physical Therapy.   Gregory is currently a student at LSU and plans to major in Civil Engineering.

Gregory's family and friends congratulate him  on  a job well done!!
