Joor Road Speed Limit

The speed limit on the newly widened section of Joor Rd will be posted at 55 MPH, according to DOTD Traffic Engineering. A study was conducted on the roadway, and the highest recommended speed was 55 MPH. Signs should be posted within the next two weeks. The school zone in front of Central Intermediate will be raised accordingly to a higher speed limit. Flashing beacons are scheduled to be installed at this school zone as well to raise driver awareness of the school zone.
