Central Food Bank Needs Your Help This Summer

The City of Central Food Bank runs short of many items during the summer months. Please consider picking up a few items and placing them in the food bank collection barrels located at Winn Dixie, Zoar Baptist Church, or First Baptist Church Central. You may even wish to drop off perishable and non-perishable food items at the food bank on Thursdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., or between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. The Central Food Bank is located at 12023 Sullivan Road (near Hooper Road). They can be reached at 261-8098. The biggest needs of the food bank are listed below. Thank you for any help you can give.
Grocery Items: hamburger helper, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti sauce in plastic jars or metal cans, pasta, pasta or rice sides, instant mashed potatoes, pork and beans, canned soup, canned potatoes, canned carrots, canned mixed vegetables, canned chili, all sizes of peanut butter, jelly in plastic containers, jiffy corn bread mix, breakfast cereal, oatmeal, grits, pancake mix, and bottled juice or juice mix
Kids’ Snacks: single serve pudding, single serve jello, kids’ drinks, cookies, goldfish crackers, and chips
Toiletries: shampoo, shaving cream, and feminine hygiene products
Household Items: toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, and laundry detergent
