Finally, cool weather!! And dry. Good news for all of us except those with gardens to water. This weather is great for getting a lot done outside. I am sure those of you recovering from the flood are glad to be able to get a lot done without fighting more water. And, many are starting to get back to some sort of normal routine and need to begin to look after themselves again. I know you all still have very little time or desire for much exercise after working at your job and then hours on your home, but don’t forget yourself. If you can’t go because you aren’t taking care of yourself, then everyone loses.
Take that walk today and every day, even if it’s only a ten minute walk. Did you know the health benefits of a ten minute walk are significant? Walking has tremendous benefits for the heart. A ten minute walk helps drop blood pressure, regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol—all risk factors of heart disease.
Take charge now. Improve your health and well-being. After reading this, take your ten minute walk right now…and get someone to go with you. And don’t forget to call your Physical Therapist to help with your post clean-up aches and pains …You’ll be glad you did
