By  |

mom-and-dadb    Former Central Wildcat quarterback Steve Ensminger will be calling the plays Saturday for LSU when the Tigers take the field hosting Missouri.  LSU Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron was fired earlier this week along with Head Coach Les Miles, opening the door to Ensminger being named interim OC and Quarterbacks Coach under interim Head Coach Ed Orgeron.
Ensminger went on from CHS to quarterback at LSU from 1976-79 and then a brief stint in the NFL.  After serving as the OC for McNeese State, Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M and Clemson, Ensminger has been the tight ends coach for LSU since 2010.
Ensminger played in three bowl games at LSU and has coached in 16 bowl games at the collegiate level.  He was 11-6 as a starting QB at LSU and threw for 2,770 yards and 16 touchdowns.
