Wildcats Defeat Dutchtown, Face Tara Friday
Central High Opened its season with an expected 67-6 win over the small Class 2A Mentorship Academy, but faced a much tougher opponent last Friday at Dutchtown.
Central overcame a 10-0 second half deficit, scoring twice to edge out the Griffins 13-10. Running back Xavier Lewis turned in another strong running performance amassing well over 100 yards.
Coach Sid Edwards commented "This was a big win for the program against a quality opponent. This is a special team."
