Benefit Saturday for Autism Charities

    Rick and Carolyn Cappo of Suckers Food Products will be cooking jambalaya for a benefit this weekend. Rick is a 3 time Cooking in Central winner. Rick will be assisted by his brother Ronnie Cappo who owns Ron's Custom Cabinets here in Central. 
    The jambalaya fundraising event will be this Saturday, April 9, at the Central Walmart on Wax road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dinner plates will include jambalaya, white beans, potato salad, bread, and cookies. Plates will be sold for $7.00 each or 3 for $20.00. There will also be a Coca-Cola special events truck giving away free Coke products to drink. Gateway Transition Center and Central City Autism Awareness will also be selling T-shirts. 
    The fundraiser will benefit Project Lifesaver, Central City Autism Awareness, and Gateway Transition Center. Each of the 3 non-profits will receive 1/3 of the profit from all sales. This is a wonderful opportunity to help out Central's special needs community.  The event organizers want to thank both Walmart stores in Central, Suckers Food Products, Flowers Bakery, and Coca-Cola for all of their donations and support.
