In Memoriam: Stuart Allan Vickers

    Stuart Allan Vickers, Sr., 73, of  Central, LA, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at his son's home. Stuart was a long time member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of their Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus where he served his community. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all those who knew him. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Central, LA, on Wednesday, July 29, and resumed at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greenwell Springs, LA, on Thursday, July 30, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass at 10:30, officiated by  Father John. Burial was at Blackwater United Methodist Church Cemetery, Central. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Vickers; son and daughter-in-law, Stuart Jr. and Margie Vickers; grandchildren, Bryce Vickers, Brittany Alford, and Brooke Ourso; great-grandchildren, Sirus and Zayden Alford, and Violet Long; as well as many other nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Carpenter Vickers; and parents, Dwight and Lillian Chapman Vickers.
