Dear Friends,
How is your connection? Whenever I am on my cell phone talking, one thing seems to be unavoidable. I know at some point there is the possibility that the connection will be lost. This can happen for many different reasons. One that is the most common is if one is traveling in a car and changing cell phone towers.
I think we feel the same way when we are trying to navigate through change or make a decision that will affect our future. Traveling down life’s road our perspective changes, our location changes at times, new questions arise, new experiences emerge, relationships change. As we navigate these changes along with others, we wonder how God will lead us in the future. Ultimately, I believe that true leadership comes from our connectedness with God. Being able to navigate the terrain necessitates an authentic connection with God. It is out of that connection that we lead. We lead out of the deep places where God speaks. Certainly, there are things as we travel the road of life that challenge that connection with God. However, we must not lose the understanding and experience that the strength of the signal that God is broadcasting to reach us stretches to the depths of the earth and outreaches the boundaries of our universe. God’s efforts to connect with us are tremendously greater than our own efforts to connect with God. Wherever we find ourselves along the road of life, God is broadcasting a signal of love and wisdom over us that is meant for us to receive.
What an amazing and loving God we serve! Where God leads us we will follow! We have the blessing of traveling this road together! Let’s stay connected to God! Let’s receive God’s love and wisdom! Surely as we do, we will do God’s will leading from the place of connection with God.
John 15:5 – I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
With Joy,
