Kade Keowen and Katelyn Sharp to Wed in Denham Springs

    Mr. and Mrs. Greg Sharp of Denham Springs, La are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Margaret Sharp, to Kade Landon Keowen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Keowen of Central, La. 
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Therman Carlton Varnado of Baton Rouge, La, and Mrs. Patsy B. Sharp and the late Mr. Bobby G. Sharp of Dodson, La. She is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and Southeastern Louisiana University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. She is currently an English teacher at Denham Springs High School. 
    Her fiancé is the grandson of Mrs. Dottie Keowen and the late Stanley Keowen of Baker, La, and Mrs. Barbara Thomas and the late Billy Thomas of Kelly, La. He is a graduate of Central High School and Louisiana State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration. He is currently an assistant baseball coach at Louisiana State University at Eunice. 
    The couple will be married on June 27, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Denham Springs, La.
