For the second year in a row, CHS Bowling did extremely well in the Coca Cola Invitational.  Last year the Boys won the Invitational and the Girls finished 3rd.  This year the Girls were crowned champions and the Boys came in 3rd.  The Girls actually ran away with the trophy by beating 2nd by almost 150 pins.  The format is Baker style (the same as collegiate bowling) and teams bowled 7 games dropping their lowest 2 games.
    Girls bowled a 232, 170, 183, 175 and 180 (dropped a 148 and 168) for a very impressive 940 series (188 average).
Boys bowled a 190, 222, 200, 180 and 184 (dropped a 172 and 164) for a 976 series (195 average).
Here's the final 5 for both:
Girls
1)  CENTRAL – 940 – 188 avg
2)  Albany – 795 – 159 avg
3)  Central Lafourche – 756 – 151 avg
4)  St Scholastica – 724 – 144 avg
5)  Terrebonne – 690 – 138 avg
Boys
1)  St Amant – 1088 – 217 avg
2)  Brother Martin – 1008 – 201 avg
3)  CENTRAL – 976 – 195 avg
3)  Terrebonne – 976 – 195 avg
5)  Dutchtown – 966 – 193 avg
Also for the second straight year, Central is the only high school to take home trophies in both the Boys and Girls divisions!  Needless to say, after beating Albany on Tuesday and this past weekend, the Girls are on quite the roll!
