Joor Road Noise Reduction

The project to quiet road noise on Joor Road will involve installing a thin overlay over more than 3 miles of La. 946 (Joor Road) from Jones Bayou to La. 408 to mitigate noise issues produced by the existing pavement. Work on this $1.2million project is estimated to begin in early March, and be completed by the end of June, depending upon weather.
The contractor plans to restrict lane closures to the evenings and weekends as follows:
· Monday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
· Friday from 7 p.m. through Monday at 6 a.m.
If daytime closures are needed, they will occur Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
