CENTRAL GIRLS BOWLING CRUISE AGAINST ST JOSEPH’S ACADEMY
CHS Girls Bowling (3-0) cruised to another win on Wednesday (1-28-15) over St Joseph’s Academy (1-1). SJA returned all of their starters from last year, a team that handed Central their only loss in the regular season. But for the third straight match, the Wildcats showed they will be tough to beat in any match.
The Wildcats won all three games winning Game 1 8-0 (934-710), Game 2 7-1 (1002-764) and Game 3 6-2 (852-820). Central also won the 3 bonus points for Total Pins by almost 500 pins, 2788-2294. The 2788 is the 2nd highest series ever for the Wildcats, just a little shy of last week's record setting 2842. But the Wildcats did roll a new school record game with the 1002 in Game 2! Haley Young (Senior/Captain) led the team with a 571 (212, 193), Brittnee Robinson (Sophomore) had a career day with a 534 series (213 game, both a personal high and 102 pins above average) and Sam Soule (Sophomore) rolled a nice 426 (75 pins above average). Kaylee Robinson (Junior) chipped in with a 185 and Sarah LeDuff (Junior) was right behind with a 183. St Joseph’s Academy was led by Hope Bovard with a 488 (183).

CENTRAL BOYS BOWLING KNOCKS OFF BROADMOOR
CHS Boys Bowling (3-0) kept on winning on Wednesday (1-28-15), this time over Broadmoor (2-1). Broadmoor showed a lot of improvement over last season but Central’s talented lineup proved to be a little too deep for the Bucs.

Jacob Garretson (Senior/Captain) and Johnathan Ryder (Junior) led the way in Game 1 with a 212 each and Dylan Ringo (Sophomore) rolled a 210. Game 2 was led by Ringo’s 218, followed by Garretson’s 212 and Parker Aucoin’s (Sophomore) 202. With the match all but wrapped up for Central, the Bucs showed that they can roll a high score as well and have the potential to cause teams problems as they improve throughout the season.
