December 2014 Permit Report

            During the month of December 2014 in the city of Central, a total of 4 new residential permits were issued.  The total valuation of these permits was $940,554.  A total of 134 new residential permits were issued in 2014.  By comparison, in 2013, there were 179 new residential permits; in 2012, there were 144; in 2011, there were 136; and in 2010, there were 138 permits issues.  That is a total of 731 new residential homes in the past five years.

            Within these permits, one was issued in the 17600 block of Greenwell Springs Rd valued at $233,028; one in Plantation Way valued at $386,212; one in Burlington Lakes valued at $172,474; and one in Indian Mound valued at $148,840.

            Building valuation is the price based upon the square footage of the home used for permitting purposes.  The actual selling price of the home is usually higher than the valuation and depends upon amenities installed by the builder.

            On the commercial side, no new commercial permits were issued.
