School Board Meeting & Public Hearing Tonight

There will be a public hearing right before tonight's regular school board meeting.  The public hearing will begin at 5:50 PM at the Central High School auditorium.  The item to be presented and discussed is the revised 2014-2015 General Fund Budget.  The school board meeting will immediately follow at 6 PM in the auditorium.  Both meetings are open to the public.  The regular meeting agenda is below.

   6. To consider approval of the minutes from the Regular School Board Meeting held on Monday, November 10, 2014 and take appropriate action.

   8. To consider Out-of-State Field Trip Requests and take appropriate action. (Mr. Faulk)
   9. To receive a report from the Finance Committee Meeting held on November 19, 2014 and take appropriate action on the following items:
   a. Updated information from the actuary regarding the Unfunded Accrued Liability and discussion of some possible options which could impact the district's liability.
   b. A close-out unaudited budget for the 2013-2014 School Year.
   c. Revised 2014-2015 General Fund Budget.
   10. To receive a report from the Facilities/Equipment Committee Meeting held on December 3, 2014 and take appropriate action on the following items:
   a. Consideration of Professional Services Contract for the Demolition and Asbestos Abatement at the Greenwell Springs Hospital Property.
   b. Status report from the contractor regarding the Ninth Grade Academy Project.
   c. Review by the board's legal adviser regarding some proposed requirements relative to the Old Girls Gym.
