Central Rotary Holds Annual Bed Race

    The Rotary Club of Central held their annual Bed Race last Saturday, November 22.  The event raised funds to benefit Central Rotary Club projects including their Thanksgiving Food Drive, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Sellers Maternity Home, CCAF, Central Toy Box, Central Community School “Outstanding Student” Program, Central Veterans Memorial, water purification system for Haiti, and the Central Youth Football Camp.
    Saturday’s festivities kicked off with a one-mile fun run.  Bed race entrants were Bourg Insurance/Edward Jones, Sunrise Rotary, Home Bank, CCAF, Red Hatters, Bank of Zachary, and Central Christian Academy.  The winning team was Home Bank, and the Best Decorated Bed Award went to the Red Hatters.
