CHS Opens Season with 34-6 Win

Central opened regular season play at home last Friday, September 5th with a 34-6 victory over Kipp Renaissance.  The game got a late start, not beginning until 8 due to troubles with the visiting team’s bus.
Kipp Renaissance would score one touchdown against Central.  Their score came early in the game as the result of an interception in the first quarter.  The following conversion attempt was no good.
The Wildcats kept a steady pace, scoring 8 points in the first quarter, 7 points in the second, 13 points in the third, and 6 points in the fourth quarter.
The CHS defense had a solid game as well, keeping Kipp Renaissance’s passing yards low and their rushing yards in the negatives for most of the game.
The Players of the Week for this week were Tyler Sansone (offense), Dontae Johnson (offensive scout team), Shane Smith (defense), Joseph Schopp (defensive scout team),  Chandler Hollingsworth (special teams), and Darryl Lavigne (special teams scout).

Central Hosts Morgan City Friday

The Wildcats take the field Friday in Wildcat Stadium playing host to Morgan City.  Central will be looking for a 2-0 start to the season.  Thanks in large part to headline sponsor Central Stat Care, the game will be broadcast as usual on 91.9 FM and on the TuneIn Radio App.  The Morgan City Tigers started their season last week with a 36-50 loss to White Castle.  Join the Wildcats at home beginning at 7 PM for the game.  Tickets may be purchased for $6 in advance from the CHS office or for $8 at the gate.
Fans who have parking permits will no longer park behind the stadium, but will park in the Grace Church parking lot. Only those with parking permits will be allowed to park in the Grace Church parking lot. IT WILL NOT BE A GENERAL PARKING LOT.
