Parking Lot Bids Over Budget

By  |

The Central Community School Board voted Monday night not to award the contract to construct a parking lot at the abandoned Middle School site at Hooper and Sullivan because they were well over the approved budget.
The lot was to have been constructed behind the football stadium and was expected to cost approximately $400,000.  With all bids well over that approved amount, the School Board voted not to make the award.  Most of the buildings on the now unused school site are being demolished at this time.
No plan was announced to re-bid the parking lot construction or to revise the plans.
