Runoff between Jason Ellis & Ralph Washington

By  |

Council candidates, in order to be elected in last Saturday’s primary election, needed to have more than 10% of the total council votes cast.  Only four of the five council seats were filled this way.  This leaves a runoff between the top two remaining vote getters, Jason Ellis and Ralph Washington.  Ellis received 3,071 out of 36,734 votes, or 8.4% of the total, while Washington received 3,625 votes, or 9.87% of the total.  The election to decide Central’s fifth council position will be held on Saturday, May 3rd.
