Central Charities Thank Supporters

By  |

Daniel Newman of the Rotary Club of Central was present at the Chamber Awards Banquet to present the Central Rotary Humanitarian Award to Jonathan Sumich of Oak Point.  The award was given as a token of gratitude and recognition for the support of and service to the Central Rotary Club.

ALC President Mia Freneaux attended the Central Chamber Awards Banquet, where she presented plaques in appreciation of three Central businesses who have been major supporters of the Art League of Central.  Pictured from top to bottom are Heather Harrison from the Central Library, Ricardo and his wife Jennifer from Caliente, and Matt and Kathleen Price of PriceCo.  These businesses have supported the Art League through providing meeting space, putting on events, and donating prizes for the ALC art shows, respectively.  To learn more about the Art League of Central or to join, email [email protected]

Louis DeJohn was on hand as a representative from Cooking in Central to present a very special award at the Chamber Awards Banquet.  Bill McLin, pictured at right above, received the first annual Cooking in Central Humanitarian Award.  The award was given to him for outstanding leadership, dedication to the Cooking in Central organization, and an unparalleled passion for helping those in need.  Congratulations and thank you to Mr. Bill McLin.

The Central Community Assistance Foundation presented framed certificates of recognition to local organizations that have offered significant support to the efforts of CCAF in helping Central students in need and their families.  Janet Stevens was at the Central Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet to present the awards on behalf of CCAF.  CCAF would like to thank, pictured from top to bottom, Wayne and Diane Leader of AA Mini Storage, the Rotary Club of Central, and Cooking in Central for their continued support.  CCAF would also like to thank all of the community members and businesses who have helped with this important cause for the Central community.  To learn more about the Central Community Assistance Foundation, visit www.HelpCentralStudents.com.
