On July 4th, the Louisiana National Guard welcomed home 65 soldiers who had been stationed in Afghanistan with the 756th Area Support Medical Company.  The 756th ASMC had been in Afghanistan since last September, so there were many people happy to see these soldiers arrive in Carville last Thursday.  This company is comprised of soldiers who are skilled in varying areas of the medical field, as well as mechanics for vehicles and generators.  They have been performing emergency medical, dental, ancillary, and evacuation services in Bagram and Kabul.
