Central Bible Church Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary
Central Bible Church was to be a church dedicated to the line-upon-line, precept-upon-precept, expository preaching through books of the Bible from start to finish of each book. CBC was to have an equal passion for intentional discipleship and theological (seminary quality) education. Nicholas was emphatic that a good Christian education was not out of reach of the average Christian, but would incite passion in all believers! We simply wanted to be challenged to grow in our understanding of the Word of God and the God of the Word.
For five years now CBC has seen lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit through the person of Jesus Christ, for the glory of God the Father. We’ve seen continual enrollment in Theology, Bible, Church History, and Biblical Language courses. We have a growing involvement in various ministries and Central community organizations. Our youth ministry continues to grow and challenge our youth to not only know what to believe, but why they should believe it so that they can handle the challenges of the worldly universities and work places. We have new families join us on Sunday mornings almost every week, as we are growing numerically as well as spiritually. In short, the ministry of this church is thriving!
We know that all glory goes to our God and we praise Him for his faithfulness over these past years. Our consensus at the close of that first month of discussion meetings in June of 2008 was, “Let’s try it and if God is in it we’ll know it by our existence years down the road.” Well, it’s been years… five to be exact…and yes, God was, is, and will be “in it” as we pursue His glory in whatever way He leads us. At His urging this church was began and with His help we will continue for generations to come.
