Summer Guidry Places Third in State Tar Wars Poster Contest

Summer Guidry is a 4th grade student at Central Intermediate School. Summer entered the Tar Wars poster contest. She won the CIS poster contest and placed 3rd in the state contest.

Tar Wars lessons were given to the 4th and 5th graders at CIS in March. All students were asked to participate in the poster contest and many did. Tar Wars is a tobacco-free education program from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Tar Wars is designed for fourth and fifth grade students and is presented by volunteer health care professionals. Summer Guidry is the daughter of Donna Guidry of Central.
