In Memoriam: James Stone

    James Monroe Stone “Mr. Jim” “Lee Lee”, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Jim served and defended his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He also served his Lord and church, Faith Baptist Church, Baker, as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was always ready to talk and tell a joke to make you smile. Jim retired after 27 years with Dow Chemical. 
   A memorial service was held at Faith Baptist Church, Baker on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Bill Boulton. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris B. Stone; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dane Hatchell; granddaughter, Lauren Hatchell; sisters, Helen and Frances; as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerd and Aggie Stone; and sister, Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Mr. Jim’s behalf to your favorite charity.
