CHS Students Selected as DEMCO Essay Finalists

    DEMCO hosted its annual Rural Electric Co-op Youth Tour Essay Contest for high school juniors. Out of over 300 entries throughout a 7 parish area were narrowed down to the top 12. On March 11th these 12 were honored at a reception at Chef John Folse's White Oak Plantation where each student presented his/her essay orally and was treated to a wonderful meal prepared by the chef himself. 
    Among the 12 students chosen were Alicen Lieux and Dean Roberts from Central High School. They were accompanied by their families, their English teacher Ms. Lynn Younger, and Principal Bob Wales.
