Central COA Senior Center Completes Project for CAAWS

Submitted by Chris Resweber
Over the winter months several seniors made "Adopt Me" vests for a local animal center.  Over 20 vests were made and donated to the Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS) for the dogs to wear at their annual Krewe of Mutts Parade and on adoption days at Petsmart and other venues.    Small versions of the vests were also made to clip on the cat cages on adoption days.  The vests were donated by the group to Vickie Rawles, CAAWS volunteer, on January 16 and the cats were delivered on March 27.
Donations for supplies were given by Chris Resweber, in memory of Sophie, her CAAWS adopted dog of 14 years; Robyn Nicosia; and Margaret Shipley, all from the Central area.  Thanks for your support in this project.
