“Denham’s Got Talent” Show April 12th

            On-stage performers and aspiring entertainment idols will have an opportunity to showcase their talents at the “Denham’s Got Talent” show at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on April 12 at the Jacket Gym at 1000 N. Range Avenue in Denham Springs.

            Winners of “Denham’s Got Talent” will receive prizes and gift certificates valued at hundreds of dollars, as well as the opportunity to perform at the 2013 Dukes of Hazzard Reunion event and a free professional studio recording session.

            Performers ages 12 and older, from inside and outside the Denham Springs area, are welcome to register for the show. 

            Scott Innes, a local radio talent and the voice of Scooby Doo, will emcee the show and serve as special guest judge.

            The show is sponsored by the volunteers of the 2013 Denham Springs High School Project Graduation, who will use the proceeds to provide graduating seniors with a fun, safe way to spend their final high school occasion with fellow classmates.

            The entry fee for participants is $20, and registration forms are available on Facebook at 2013 DSHS Project Graduation, or by contacting the show coordinator, Carey Wascom, at 225-665-8190.

            Tickets for the event will be sold at the door for $5 for adults and $3 for students with a school photo ID.
